Local Information
Arrochar is situated at the top of Loch Long, just 2 miles west of Loch Lomond. It is a walker’s paradise as it nestles between the Arrochar Alps to the West and the mighty Trossachs to the East.

The village offers excellent amenities such as a post office, a petrol station, an award winning restaurant and pub, as well as other popular cafés, bars, eateries and gift shops. Arrochar is also on the bus route to other local areas of interest and is within easy reach of Carrick Castle, Inverary and Stirling.

Flora and Fauna
The local hills, mountains and forests are bursting with flowers and plants, such as bluebells and heather and the banks of Loch Long offer an abundance of wildlife. Bird watchers would most certainly be at home here and seals and otters have also been spotted nearby.
